After qualification as an interior designer in 1971 John Wilson set up his own design practice and worked in both this country and in America.
During this time he began to paint, and to develop his unmistakable style of watercolours until, in 1997, John made the decision to become a full-time painter. Landscapes, buildings and harbours are favourite subjects but "the inspiration is always sunlight" he says.
John exhibits permanently in galleries in Cornwall and East Anglia, and lives with his wife in a cottage in Bedfordshire.
